A beautiful sunset over the marina at Oriental NC where our friend Drake lives aboard his sailing vessel

Drake meets for breakfast in the AM on his battery powered scooter AM temps was 18

Here we enjoy a Southern breakfast in a local diner.....all the locals greeted us like old friends because we were w/Drake He is like the un-official Mayor in town

We spent the evening in Calabash NC w/friends Cass & Beth (can't believe we didn't get any pictures)...but we did get a couple of shots of the Southern JFK Library and rare book collection
Even the complete Warren Report 1st Edition AM temp 22
Complete with the Limo
Some beautiful flowers in Savanna Ga Our favorite city stop at on the way north and south AM temp 18 got to get further south

Once a Girl Scout always a Girl Scout

Heading South for the Winter 2010-2011

We left Somerville on 12/2/10...spent the 1st night on Cape Cod at Diane & Ricks House
Here is the Bourne Bridge the morning we left

Our 2nd night was spent at Seafood City in Fenton Del. our favorite restaurant ...eat-drink-sleep in the parking lot.........very good sea food ...espcl oysters & crab

Our full rig truck camper kayaks motorcycle trailer over looking the Chesapeake Bay bridge & tunnel......23 miles long.

Fishing boat
Tunnel 1 or 2

Fishing boats around the bridges...pretty good swells for a small boat
Long stretch B/4 the next tunnel

Great nephew Collin greets us
and advised me of our flat tire

Chef Kevin prepares one of his asome meals on his EVO ....as you can see he cooks w/wine...he told me some times he puts it in the food
Tonight it it is chicken/steak w/vegetables and Asian noodles

I prepared and grilled chicken hearts in kosher salt

Collin eats a chicken heart on a bet....he actually liked it too

A ful plate of hearts

We stayed a second night for the rib roast...Dusty insisted we stay!

Mary (the Sous Cef) prepares the roast

Nancy watches and is in charge of keeping the wine glasses full! She did a great job.
After we ate ...this was left
Twice baked taters
Our Hosts Collin Kevin & Mary

Collin models his new ski under wear that Aunt Nancy got him for being so cute...I don't get it!

Uncle Rod (bad influence) taught Collin how make a book marker out of a Land O Lakes butter box.....there is more to this post........
